In 2001 Welch Equipment Company was solicited
to respond to a bid invitation from one of our most valued customers,
Eastman Kodak Company in Windsor, Colorado. This bid invitation
was of a very technical nature in that it involved a unique in-floor
track system that had to be machined specifically to very close
tolerance. Compatible to this system was a large quantity of special
rotating carts that would interface with the in-floor track system
for loading and unloading large film rolls.
The integration of the special carts
and track would be required to accommodate loading and unloading
film rolls in total darkness. Welch Equipment contacted B & B
Machine to assist us in jointly designing the track as well as the
components
needed for the construction of the carts.
Over the next eighteen months B &
B worked closely with our staff and our fabrication contractors to
design both the track, switches and assembly parts for this system.
This work necessitated several field trips and group sessions to
compile the necessary input and engineering to pull this system
together.
The purpose of this letter is to acknowledge
